Łódź Airport has inaugurated the summer charter season. Two planes departed for Antalya, Turkey, on Saturday, and another on Sunday. Over half a thousand tourists will spend the long May weekend on the Turkish Riviera. And this is just the beginning.
During the inauguration of charter connections, the Airport Fire Brigade welcomed the first Tailwind plane with a water salute. This is a Turkish charter airline that will transport clients of TUI and Rainbow travel agencies for their holidays. Two more Enter Air planes carrying Coral Travel clients are taking off this weekend.
Dr. Anna Midera, president of Łódź Airport: "For the first time, holiday charters at our airport start so early and for the first time there will be so many of them. During the peak season, 14 charter planes will fly from Łódź each week to Turkey, Tunisia, Bulgaria and the three Greek islands of Crete, Rhodes and Zakynthos. We offer two new products - Tunisia, which has not been there for 10 years, and Bodrum in Turkey on the Aegean Riviera. We have excellent cooperation with the largest travel agencies in Poland: Coral Travel, Itaka, Grecos Holiday, TUI and Rainbow, as well as with local agencies who have direct contact with customers and are the best ambassadors of the offer from Łódź.”

We estimate that we will accommodate 80,000 passengers on charter flights throughout the summer. If this happens, it will be a better result than last year's by 20,000. Thanks to very good cooperation with leading tour operators, we are expanding our offer every year. We hope that, as in previous years, Łódź residents and residents of the Łódź region will be happy to take advantage of the rich offer prepared by travel agencies in cooperation with the airport. Charters are the most convenient way to spend your holidays, especially for families with children, as we see today in the terminal among travelers flying from Łódź for the May weekend. It is true that we are starting charter flights today, but for holidays you can also fly from Łódź on your own with Ryanair planes, e.g. to Spain - to Alicante or Malaga, or to Italy using the connection to Milan Bergamo. This summer, planes from Łódź will operate 32 flights a week to 14 directions, from A, such as Alicante, to Z, such as Zakynthos. Everyone will definitely find something for themselves.”
