From March 1, the visa fee will increase from USD 25 to USD 30.

The Egyptian Chamber of Travel and Tourism Companies (ETAA) has announced an increase in the fee for a 30-day entry visa issued at airports (“visa on arrival”).

Tourists purchase the visa at the airport immediately after arriving in Egypt. It can be bought at tour operator counters or at the Egyptian Bank. Exact cash is required.

The price of the online visa remains unchanged. It is best to apply through the official portal visa2egypt.gov.eg at least 7 days before departure and present a printed copy at the airport in Egypt.

Tourists arriving in Sharm El Sheikh for up to 14 days do not need a visa, provided they do not travel outside the resort area. In this case, a free “Sinai Only” stamp in the passport is sufficient.

Reminder: To obtain a visa, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Egypt.
