Second Route from Łódź to Egypt

06.05.2025

ŁÓDŹ TO SHARM EL-SHEIKH
Starting from June 18, flights from Łódź to Sharm El-Sheikh will be available. This is the second Egyptian destination offered from Łódź airport by the travel agency Join UP! Poland, following Marsa Alam.

The summer charter season began in April, with the first flights from Łódź heading to Marsa Alam, Egypt.

Due to high interest from residents of Łódź and the surrounding region in trips to Egypt, Join UP! Poland decided to launch a second holiday route. Starting June 18, passengers can fly from Łódź to Sharm El-Sheikh.

“We value the excellent cooperation with the dedicated team at Łódź airport. They are professionals who take care of our passengers from the moment they enter the terminal, ensuring a comfortable and smooth check-in process. We are already working on additional attractive routes so that people can fly even further and more frequently from Łódź. We want to be a tour operator that truly brings the world closer to its clients – including those from central Poland,” said Katarzyna Bayraktar, Head of Sales Development and M.I.C.E.

Robert Makowski, Commercial Director at Łódź Airport, commented:
“I am very pleased with the decision to launch another Egyptian route from our airport. I have always believed that the tour operator who chooses to fly from Łódź to Egypt will simply ‘win.’ And that’s exactly what happened. At the end of April, we launched the long-awaited route to Egypt, which has been selling very well. I think this success influenced the decision to start flights to Sharm El-Sheikh in June. Our cooperation with Join UP! Poland only began this year, but it is already developing rapidly, and I believe this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship.”

Sharm El-Sheikh is a resort town on the Sinai Peninsula and a well-known tourist destination offering accommodation in over 500 hotels along the Red Sea. Visitors can enjoy numerous restaurants, golf courses, casinos, water parks, dolphinariums, and most importantly, year-round water sports facilities for both diving and snorkeling. The area boasts 255 coral reefs inhabited by more than a thousand species of fish.

It is also a fascinating region for sightseeing. The resort is about 300 kilometers from the borders with Israel and Jordan.
Tours are available to sites such as Saint Catherine's Monastery, Mount Sinai, the Holy Land, and Petra in Jordan. In the town itself, you can visit the Al Mustafa Mosque and shop at the Arabic market offering souvenirs, spices, oils, exotic fruits, and handmade crafts.

Flights from Łódź to Sharm El-Sheikh will operate every Wednesday at 3:00 PM starting June 18.

Summer charters from Łódź Airport include:
Albania (Tirana), Bulgaria (Burgas), Egypt (Marsa Alam, Sharm El-Sheikh), Greece (Crete, Rhodes, Zakynthos), Tunisia (Enfidha), and Turkey (Antalya).
