More and more people fly from Łódź!

19.08.2024

In the first half of the year, the airport handled almost 200 thousand passengers and once again overtook the airports in Lublin, Bydgoszcz and – probably – Szczecin.

From January to June, 195,316 passengers flied from Łódź Airport. This is 27%t more than in the same period last year.

In the first half of the year, the largest percentage increases in Poland were recorded by regional airports in Poznań (+28%), Łódź (+27%) and Wrocław (+19 percent). The remaining airports had increases  from 2% to 1%. However, there are also two airports whose results for the half-year were in significant declines. These are the airports in Olsztyn (-37%) and Modlin (-16%).

After the first half of the year, Łódź Airport is ahead of the airports in Lublin (178,563), Bydgoszcz (170,405) and Olsztyn (40,214). The result is also probably better than the one of the Szczecin-Goleniów airport, but there is no certainty about it, because the airport in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship has not yet published data for April, May or June. Based on the offer and results for the first quarter of this year, it can be assumed that Łódź is ahead of Szczecin in the ranking.

You can fly from the Łódź airport all year round on scheduled flights to Alicante, Brussels, Dublin, London, Milan and Malaga. Until the end of October, you can use the connection to the East Midlands, which will later be replaced by flights to Birmingham.

Until mid-October, you can travel using the summer charters organized by travel agencies, which offer flights to Turkey (Antalya, Bodrum), Bulgaria, Tunisia, Greece (Crete, Rhodes, Zakynthos).
