You can fly directly from our airport to a Spanish beach, an Italian or English league match, or an opera at La Scala.
In a month, the summer season will begin at airports. Starting March 30, the frequency of regular routes will change, and on April 26, summer charter flights will begin.
This is the time of year when we eagerly travel, taking advantage of vacations and public holidays:
- April 20-21: Easter
- Long May weekend (May 1 on Thursday, May 3 on Saturday)
- June 19 (Thursday): Corpus Christi, offering a long weekend perfect for a trip. Then come the summer school holidays, starting June 28.
“In the summer season, you can fly to seven European destinations on scheduled flights and eight holiday destinations via charter flights starting April 26. The airport will handle over 40 rotations per week, amounting to more than 80 flight operations. The most frequent flights will be to London and Milan—six times a week in April and five times a week from May to October. The schedule is convenient for weekend getaways or even shorter trips: for example, you can fly to Bergamo one day and return to Łódź the next. Among holiday destinations, Turkey will have the most flights, with as many as nine per week. Besides Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, and Tunisia, we are introducing a new destination: Albania,” says Anna Midera, President of Łódź Airport.
Among attractive short-trip or vacation destinations are direct flights to Alicante on the Costa Blanca (from 190 PLN) and Málaga on the Costa del Sol (from 210 PLN). These Spanish cities enjoy sunshine almost year-round, making them perfect for beach relaxation or exploring fascinating tourist regions in Spain. Łódź Airport also offers flights to London Stansted (tickets from 104 PLN), operated by Ryanair six times a week in April and five times a week from May onward. There are also twice-weekly flights to Brussels (from 69 PLN), Dublin (from 119 PLN), and Birmingham (from 95 PLN).
From April, flights from Łódź to Milan Bergamo will operate six times a week, and from May to October, five times a week. Round-trip tickets cost around 160 PLN. Travelers can explore Milan, Bergamo, and Verona, visit Lake Como and Lake Garda, or head to the Dolomites. They can also attend events in Milan, including performances at the world-renowned La Scala opera house.
“Milan-Bergamo Airport is a major hub offering convenient connections. Thanks to almost daily flights from Łódź to Bergamo at various times, passengers can easily book flights from Łódź to Bergamo and then onward to Barcelona, Madrid, Naples, Catania, Athens, Cagliari, Mallorca, or Fuerteventura. The connection times are very convenient. Upon arrival in Bergamo, transit passengers are guided through a fast-track lane to their next gate,” says Robert Makowski, Commercial Director of Łódź Airport.
